Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

This isn't written by a solicitor — it's a plain-English explanation of what we actually do with your data, checked against how our systems really work. If you'd like more detail on anything here, email hello@sortedsites.co.uk and we'll answer directly.

Who we are

Sorted Sites is run by Luke, based in Sheffield, UK. If you have any question about this policy or your data, email hello@sortedsites.co.uk or call 07920 385013 — you'll get Luke, not a call centre.

What Lead Catcher collects, and why

Lead Catcher is the chat assistant ("Sorted Sam") built into Sorted Sites and every client site. When you use it to ask about a demo, a quote, or a business's services, it collects:

  • Your name and phone number — so the business (or Sorted Sites, if you're enquiring about a demo) can get back to you about your enquiry.
  • What you typed in the chat — your question or request, so it can be passed on accurately and, where relevant, answered by the assistant.
  • The site you contacted us from and the time — so we know which business you were enquiring about.

We only ever use this to respond to your enquiry. We do not sell, rent, or share your details with anyone outside the business you contacted (and Sorted Sites, who operates the underlying system).

If you ask the chat assistant a question it can't answer from what it already knows about the business, your question is sent to OpenAI's API in order to generate a reply. OpenAI processes that message to produce the answer but it is not stored by Sorted Sites beyond your current chat session — closing or reloading the page clears it.

What this website itself collects

Nothing beyond the above. Sorted Sites does not run Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any other tracking or advertising script on this site — there's nothing here quietly following you around the web. The only third-party requests this page makes are for Google Fonts (to display our typefaces).

Where your enquiry goes, and how long we keep it

When you submit your details through Lead Catcher, they're stored securely in our database and an email/text notification is sent to the business owner (and, for every enquiry across every Sorted Sites client, a copy goes to Luke so he can make sure nothing gets missed). We keep enquiry records so businesses can look back at their own leads — if you'd like your details removed, just ask (see "Your rights" below) and we'll delete them.

Your rights (UK GDPR)

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:

  • Ask what personal data we hold about you, and get a copy of it (right of access).
  • Ask us to correct anything that's inaccurate (right to rectification).
  • Ask us to delete your data where there's no good reason for us to keep it (right to erasure).
  • Ask us to restrict or object to how we use your data.
  • Ask for your data in a portable format.
  • Complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk if you think we've handled your data wrongly.

To exercise any of these, email hello@sortedsites.co.uk — we'll sort it directly, no forms or call centres.

Changes to this policy

If how we handle data changes, we'll update this page and change the "last updated" date at the top.
